We were very happy in Florida for the winter and not yet ready to venture north, but Lora found a lot for sale in a tiny home resort in Gatlinburg, TN. These lots were moving fast and so we sprinted out of Florida and into the cold of Tennessee in the winter.
About 50 miles outside of Knoxville, an alarm started blaring. What the heck is that? It was our tire monitoring system telling us that our driver side, rear outer tire was loosing air fast. Sh!t. Lora quickly found us a Pilot truck stop and we pulled in to figure out what to do. As she started calling roadside assistance, I went out to check the tire. You’ll never guess what it was … (story coming soon). In order to reduce stress, I’ll say that it was a simple solution.
We got to Gatlinburg a little late and checked into the Gatlinburg East KOA. A new KOA and very nice … and very pricey too. We were running late, but still made it to our appointment to look at the lot that Lora had found. To keep this short, we loved the lot, made an offer that was accepted, went to closing three weeks later, and now own a lot in a tiny home resort in Gatlinburg, TN. Yay!
